The WildHearts Foundation was founded by serial entrepreneur Mick Jackson, whose life was transformed by tragedy during a climbing expedition. In 2001 Mick made headline news when he turned back from his attempt to climb K2 to save the life of a dying Sherpa. He swore that if he made it home alive he would do everything in his power to make a difference. The WildHearts Foundation is the fulfillment of that promise.

The WildHearts Foundation is dedicated to investing in the human spirit and generating wealth for those in need both domestically and abroad. Their vision is to inspire people to strive to be the best they can and to provide them with the necessary confidence, skills and local infrastructure to fulfill their potential.

WildHearts is currently involved in providing famine relief in East Africa. Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia are experiencing their worst drought since 1993. As a result three million children - 600,000 of whom are under five years old - are suffering from severe food and water shortages. Up to 42 per cent of children and adults are at risk of malnutrition in the worst affected areas in the region. By supporting the WildHearts Foundation you will literally be helping to save the lives of people in this area. The WildHearts Foundation is currently researching a new project involving the provision of micro-finance to people in the developing world, giving them a hand up and not just another hand out. Quite simply micro-finance enables the poorest of the poor to develop their own small businesses, enabling them to feed their families, educate their children and help their neighbours.
